Lacy's Story...
Hi, my name is Lacy and I am so happy to be living with my foster family after being at the shelter for a long while. I have learned to sit and give kisses. I found out that I love to go for walks and hikes. My foster family took me to Rock City and I met so many people and dogs. It was really fun. I am a really smart girl. I can use the dog door to go out and potty, I like my crate and love to watch TV and read with my friends at my foster home. I have learned some English words; sit, walk, cookie, go in your house. I have 4 kids to keep track of, and 4 foster friends here and it's great, but I would really like a family to call my own. I'm fostered in Huntsville, AL. To meet me, please email info@FORrescue.net

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lacy, a Homewood Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Homewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
