Founded in 2005 by long-time animal rescue volunteers, Foreverhome Pet Rescue's goal has been to provide care and compassion for the homeless and abused animals of the Los Angeles area, while working to place them in loving adoptive homes through a network of volunteer foster homes.
FHPR South is a private, not-for-profit organization that operates solely on private donations and volunteer efforts, we are not a shelter.
We can only adopt to homes in the Southern California area.
We are always in need of donations, to donate please go to our website www.fhprsouth.org and click on the PayPal donate button.

Come Meet Our Pets...
We have adoption events at:
Unleashed by Petco 600 Redondo Ave (between 6th & 7th St) Long Beach, CA 90814
Saturday 11:30am - 3:00pm Sunday 12:30pm - 3:00pm
Not all animals are at adoptions due to limited space. If you come to adoptions without prior contact to set up a meet and greet, the animal you are interested in may not be there. If you are interested in any of them please go to our website and follow our adoption process.
Please do not contact Unleashed about adoptions. Unleashed personnel are not aware of current pet availability.
Our Adoption Process...
Our adoption process requires that an application be filled out and submitted via our website. The application will then be submitted to the Board of Directors for review to determine whether or not your application represents the best situation for the pet you applied to adopt. If the Board of Directors approves your application, you will be notified to set up a meet & greet with animal you are interested in. If adopting, you will be asked to sign an adoption contract and pay the tax deductible donation. We can only adopt to homes in the Southern California area.

You'll receive a copy, too, at
to help you keep track of which pets you've inquired about, and which shelters and rescues you've emailed.
NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter!
Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures,
on the pet's details page on Adopt-a-Pet.com.
