Monty's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Monty's Story...
Monty was shy and elusive, living on the streets in Georgia on his own with the local outdoor cats to keep him company, when one of the neighbors heard the other neighbor plan to poison him to get rid of him. She lured him home to safety with her--scared and timid-- Monty has been the perfect house guest. He is great with the resident dogs and cats, and is beginning to feel at home with his foster family. He is a lovely boy who now hangs out with the people, so grateful to be safe and sound. They have even left him alone in the house and not a thing was out of place! It would be wonderful if Monty could have a forever family that understands his initial shyness, and is willing to give him the confidence and TLC to be the sweet, wonderful boy we know he is. Of course we do not know what his true mix is, but he seems to be about 2 years old and weighs 40 lbs. If you have the home you think would be perfect for Monty, please email sweetadoptables@ymail.com. Full vetting, neuter and his transport up north is included in his $400 adoption fee.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Monty, a Westport Bearded Collie/Schnauzer (Standard) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bearded Collie/Schnauzer (Standard) for sale in Westport, or seeking a Bearded Collie/Schnauzer (Standard) dog from a breeder in Westport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bearded Collie/Schnauzer (Standard) breeders who help with Bearded Collie/Schnauzer (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westport paves the way for another one to be saved.
