Aspen's Story...
Aspen is a 5 year old, fantastic cat looking for a fantastic home. This tall, lanky boy is a love bug and when Aspen really wants attention he has no problem rubbing up against whatever he can reach trying to get it. Aspen is independent enough though, that if you can’t give him the attention he wants he will eventually saunter away like he didn't want the attention anyway. Aspen could easily live with another mellow cat either male or female and he would prefer his kids to be over 5, that way they can really play with him. When Aspen isn't trying to be cuddly, he's going to be very playful and would love some string toys or a laser pointer. If you think Aspen is a good match for your home, please head up to the front desk to fill out an adoption application so you can meet him!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Aspen, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
