Riley's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Riley's Story...
Riley is about 2 1/2 years old and weighs 75 pounds. He is very gentle and very sweet. A good day for Riley would be to follow his foster mom all over the house, take a walk, find some water to play in, and play with his beloved tennis ball and Kong! If he got petted, scratched, and a belly rub, that would be the icing on the cake. He is good with other dogs, cats and children. He is busy learning his basic commands and learning to sit to wait for his meals. He is very smart and a quick study. Besides being neutered, up-to-date on all of his shots, housebroken, he is heartworm negative and has had his flea and heartworm preventative. This super affectionate boy will be a wonderful addition to the family selected to be his "forever" home. If you want a big old cuddle boy he is the guy for you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Riley, a Saint Louis Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Saint Louis, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Saint Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saint Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saint Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saint Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
