Buffy's Story...
NOTE: This is a courtesy posting for another rescuer. Please do not contact ARRF, as we do not know this dog personally. See contact information below.

Buffy is an adorable Chihuahua mix who is 4 years old and already spayed. She weighs 16 lbs, and has soft cream-colored-and-white fur, cute floppy ears, and big, brown eyes. Buffy is smart and is treat motivated, so she will be easy to train. She likes going for walks and walks well on the leash. Buffy just really wants to be loved! She likes to snuggle and becomes attached to people very quickly. At a recent adoption event, she was good with kids and with all other dogs. Buffy will make an excellent companion and member of the family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buffy, a Vista Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Vista, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
