Drew's Story...
Drew, his brother, and his sisters were sent our way when their young mother (purebred German Shepherd) wanted nothing to do with them around 3 weeks old and the owners didn't want to bottle feed them. Drew is a cuddle bug and loves being with people. He is the more mellow of the boys. He will be available for adoption November 17th, but we are accepting applications now. He will be neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccines prior to adoption. Visit recycledpetsnorcal.org for an application or more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Drew, a Sacramento German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
