Samantha's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Samantha's Story...
Sammy came to us as an owner surrender along with her littermate Sarah. Sarah has since been adopted leaving Samantha looking for her Furever home. Sammy is not your typical bull terrier because she loves playing with water, be it the hose, a sprinkler or her new found fun: the swimming pool! She loves going on walks and running so much that it is hard to believe she is 10 years old! Samantha is always looking to cuddle and is great with children but does not like to share the spotlight with other dogs or cats. She is up to date on all of her shots, is house and crate trained. Sammy has been through obedience training and is a pleasure to walk on a leash. She is best suited for a home where she is the only pet and a fenced in yard is preferred.

About Bull Terrier Rescue of Virginia (BTRVA)

About Our Rescue Group...

The Bull Terrier Rescue of Virginia was established in 2010 as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt rescue and incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

The BTRVA is comprised of unpaid volunteers who open their hearts and homes to rescue abused, abandoned, homeless or unwanted Bull Terriers and bring them together with new adoptive families. We provide care, permanent placement, promote education, and provide ongoing support on the breed to all of our adopters.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Because the BTRVA is not a shelter, we rely on the support of our Fosters Homes where each dog is welcomed into their home and are given the love and affection they truely deserve while waiting for their Forever Homes. We are always in need of qualified Fosters which will allow us to rescue more Bull Terriers.

Please check out website www.BTRVA.org and our Facebook page www.Facebook.com/BTRVA often for more information and upcoming local events where you may come out to meet some great bull terriers and you can "Make Your BFF A Bullie"!

Our Adoption Process...

The first step in our adoption process is the completion of the Adoption Inquiry form found on our website. After filling out an adoption inquiry form one of our members on the Rescue Committee may contact you for a phone interview. This is so we can make sure all of your desires and needs are met as well as the dogs’. This also gives you an opportunity to ask us as any questions you may have and gives us the ability to determine which dog would be a good fit. After the adoption inquiry and phone interview we schedule a visit to your home. Home visits give everyone the ability to ask and answer questions concerning the dog, the adoption process, how to care for a dog, etc. It also gives us a chance to make sure your home is "dog proofed" and ready for a dog. This is not an inspection but rather an informal visit to make sure you're ready for your new dog and the dog you've chosen will fit into your lifestyle, home life, etc. We will then have an introduction between you and the dog, and complete the adoption process if the person or family is deemed a good fit for the dog, and vice versa. To help defray our costs we ask that a tax deductible donation of $400 be made for each adoption. All proceeds go back into the rescue to help other Bullies in need. This donation is subject to change depending on veterinary costs the dog needs. - If any of the above steps are not completed, the adoption process will not move forward.
