Beagle Lovers behold!! Have we got the breed stereotypes here: Watson was born to be Mayor with his super happy, outgoing personality. He'll march right up to anyone and demand attention . . . and hopefully, some treats!! True to his beagle heritage, Watson uses his detective work to find plenty of treats to satisfy his chowhound tendencies. And true to his beagle roots, he also has his fair share of "songs" especially when playing with other dogs or when waiting for his food, so please make sure you appreciate the Beagle serenade!! Watson loves playing with other dogs and he LOVES toys!!! He's pretty active but after a nice long walk/hike or a game of fetch he's ready to lay down, chew on a toy, and just hang out. He will do best with a securely fenced yard or someone committed to always walking him on leash because his Beagle-nose always tries to lead him astray. Like many Beagles, small children are not a great companion for him so we are looking for an adult home or a home with older children. He is good with cats but, likes to chase them sometimes (just for fun of course). He is still learning manners and house rules like not jumping on people or standing on the coffee table but, he is bright, happy, energetic dog who is easy to love . . . even when he's just a little bit naughty!!! Watson is about 3 years old, weighs about 25 pounds and is a healthy boy.
