Nuggles here! I'm an eight year old blue eyed cream Persian. It's all true, my brother Love Bug's and my lives have fallen to the way side since those twin babies came. Mom was warned this might happen, but thinking she was super Mom, she shrugged it off saying it could never happen. Ha, balderdash.
I remember the day when my Dad taught me to sit on command. People thought I might be part dog, but the truth is, he bribed me with strawberry yogurt. Just a little dab on his finger usually did the trick. After that, we would go in the living room and spend what seemed like hours chasing the peacock feather and getting my belly rubbed. It was heaven. During the day, I would circle his keyboard and he would pick me up and give me good lovin'. Now, the office serves as a second nursery and it's off limits to the likes of me and my brother. These days, we can only have supervised purposeful visits in the baby's rooms. On those rare occasions, the kids try to ride us like horses or poke our eyes out and Mom and Dad have to snap us up and kick us out. If we were outside kitties, believe me, we would be knocking on someone else's door to be adopted.
What has this life come to? Gone are the holiday parties with with Mom and Dad getting Love Bug and I all gussied up like Mr and Mrs Claws. These days, we look more like paupers. Can anyone save us from this life of drudgery? Perhaps you can. Help us please!!! Oh yes, we have to be adopted together. Horrors that we would be separated!
