My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Here is Gromit, an energetic ray of sunshine. Gromit is two years old, weighs about 16 pounds, and as you can see from his pictures, he is a beautiful tri-color. He is a very handsome boy. He is a cuddly guy and enjoys being close to his person. Gromit has a good appetite, is eager to go for walks, is housetrained, and sleeps with his foster mom and foster doggie sibling. He is enthusiastic when greeting people-especially his foster mom when she comes home from work. He greets other dogs with interest and playfulness. Gromit is affectionate and loves to give kisses especially in the morning. Gromit plays with his toys on his own, but he hasn’t quite grasped the idea of bringing his toy to his foster mom so it can be thrown and then bring it back to repeat the game. We are working on it. Gromit is definitely a little boy-full of fun and vitality. He will sometimes run the “Shih Tzu 500” through the house just after coming in from our walk and then chill out in front of the couch. Although Gromit is very friendly, he would do best in a home without children. He is at his best with adults. If you are looking for unconditional love in a playful companion, then Gromit is for you. You can fill out an adoption application on our website at www.shihtzurescuemn.org We ask that you please read the Adoption information on our website to help you understand the process and requirements for adoption.
Gromit’s foster mom would prefer to adopt him to a home where someone is home during the day or part of the day or can come home during the day and is within 75 miles of Bloomington, MN. Gromit is neutered, up to date with vaccinations, is on heartworm preventive and Frontline flea and tick preventive, and has been microchipped. His adoption fee is $370 + $26.92 MN sales tax. All adopters and their Shih Tzus are invited to STRMN’s Rescue Reunion held every June. To meet Gromit and other dogs available for adoption from Shih Tzu Rescue of Minnesota, please visit us from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Minnetonka Petco near Ridgedale the last Saturday of every month.
