My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Argyle is a lovely 2 1/2 year old chocolate Lab. She weighs about 70 pounds, which is about average size for a female Labrador.

Argyle loves other dogs and is in a foster home where she is one of five dogs in the home. She has been the perfect house guest. She found the dog door within minutes of arriving in her foster home and is completely housebroken.

Argyle loves to take her favorite toy to the yard and hang out in the sunshine on pretty days. She will crate right up for the price of a small treat. If you are home and she can see you, she will bark to tell you all the reasons she doesn't need to be crated! Argyle loves to be with people as much as she can.

At night, Argyle sleeps on a comfy dog bed next to her foster mom. She is completely trustworthy in the house and does not chew on anything but her dog toys.

Argyle loves to eat! She barks with joy when she sees you dishing out her food. When asked to sit, she will gladly do so while you put her bowl down.

A lover by nature, Argyle's favorite place is at your side, whether that is in the yard or cleaning the garage. Quite the lady, she does not get on the furniture, even when invited. Like most Labs, her favorite place is with her head on your lap. Because after all, if there is time to sit, there is time for petting.

Argyle has a moderate activity level. She loves to play and chase the ball, but has not caught on to the "bring it back" part of fetch just yet. We are not sure what Argyle will think of kitties, as there are no felines in her foster home.

Argyle is being fostered in Granbury. She would love to meet you! Fill out the adoption application. Once it is approved, a private visit can be set up with her foster mom, so that you can meet this lovely Lab.
