Beacham's Story...
Beacham, Madrigal, Babycakes, Singleton and Tolliver are adorable five-week-old baby hamsters looking for a loving guardian – either in pairs or individually. These hamsters are the legacy of a man who recently passed. He had a colony of hamsters and these are his very last litter. They were special to him, and they are looking for doting families who will give them the very best life. Hamsters are very fun to watch. When they are not sleeping, they are busy busy busy … spinning on their wheel, and stuffing their cheeks with all their favorite foods. The main diet of hamsters are pellets, supplemented with small amounts of sunflower seeds and nuts, carrots, celery, lettuce and spinach. These hamsters are healthy, energetic and nocturnal so they typically sleep through most of the day and awake in the afternoon. To meet and possibly adopt a hamster or two, please contact or 773-777-2891. Their adoption fee of $15 each, or $25 each including their cage and supplies. They are currently living in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Beacham, a Chicago Hamster was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hamster for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Hamster from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hamster breeders who help with Hamster rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
