Facts about Ryder

  • Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix
  • Color: Black
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Ryder is 11 months old. He will weigh around 50lbs when full grown. He needs a special home with a family that has plenty of patience and time to spend with him. Ryder was thrown out of the window of a stopped car by his owners. He is very scared of new people and new things. He does warm up to people quickly. It only took us one week before he was a normal puppy around the shelter workers. He is very playful once adjusted. He does have a constant fear of new things so he needs to work on his socialization. Ryder's ideal home would have a fenced yard for his safety. He would love to have another dog to play with and support healthy habits. He is still young and has plenty of time to learn how to be a puppy. Can you help him?

This pets adoption fee is $80 which includes his/hers spay/neuter, rabies vaccine, routine vaccines, deworming, and flea/tick preventative. It must be prepaid to allow us to have the vetting completed. This normally takes 1 week or less so you wouldnt have to wait long to take your new family member home. Please consider adding him/her to your family.

About Tennessee Animal Rescue & Shelter Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

Tennessee Animal Rescue and Shelter Inc. was founded to help alleviate the suffering of animals. There are way too many animals that are abandoned, neglected, or abused by no fault of their own. This shelter plans to help these animals get the homes they deserve through rehabilitation and proper education. People need to be aware of their responsibilities to the animal before they bring it into their home.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All animals are on site and will occasionally be shown at adoption days and local stores.

Our Adoption Process...

We start off with an interview which just covers some basic questions to make sure you will be providing a safe and loving home for your new pet. We have an adoption contract that is required upon adoption of an animal. It states that you must adequately take care of the animal which includes shelter, confinement if necessary, and proper nutrition. The adoption fee varies to include all of the funds the animal has used. If they are not spayed or neutered yet, a deposit will be required, or it will be done by us upon adoption.
