Shane is a Powder Puff Chinese Crested.  He is one of the 8 that a breeder surrendered to us due to a recent stroke.

Can we say SWEET?  Oh my this little guy is such a luv bug.  He is eager to please. Wants to be with his person and cuddling most of the time.  He will be someone's constant shadow if they let him.

This little teddy bear wants nothing more than to be as close as he can to his human.  He pushes his head into you to be as close as he can.  Or he turns his head just slightly and gives you that look that says ' please love me'

He is crated trained and  housetrained if we keep on his schedule.   He would do best with someone that will give him constant attention. Although he is debarked he does get a little vocal when his people leave the house.   You can read more here.

We are working on leash training. He will not potty while on a leash so a home with a fenced yard is preferred at this time - or someone that is willing to purchase an exercise pen for him to go potty while they work with him on leash training.  He is not to be trusted to be off -lead.  Shane still frightens easily and will run if spooked and not contained some way.

He is afraid of smaller children so his foster home feels he would do best with older children. He will hide when his foster family's grand kids come over as well as any other adults.

Not sure?  Why not foster to adopt me  http://www.wolfspiritsrescue.com/info/display?PageID=11572

About WolfSpirit's Toy Breed Puppymill Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small not for profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization dedicated to rescuing and re-homing toy breed dogs.
We accept mostly Chihuahua's, Pomeranians, Miniature Schnauzers, Brussels Griffons, Chinese Cresteds, Papillons and Yorkies,( but not limited to these breeds).
We take in the old, the special needs and the young.

They include retired breeders, kennel close outs, and sometimes puppies, that, for some reason were returned or rejected by pet stores.

Although our main focus is helping any ex breeder in need, we also pull from kill shelters and when we have the foster space available will help with owner surrenders.

We consist of families and individuals who foster in our homes since we do not have a physical shelter. We do not receive any government funding nor outside fundraisers. We rely entirely on donations and our own fundraisers to support our efforts. Without our caring and dedicated volunteers and foster homes we would not be able to help these little survivors out of the mills and offer them a chance at a normal life. There are no salaries here for what we do. We get paid with sloppy kisses and a warm body to snuggle up with while they are with us.

Our Adoption Process...

We have an online adoption application for those interested in adopting. We check vet and personal references. Approved adopters must sign an adoption contract. Our adoption donations vary according to each dog. These depend on the expenses that we incur for that particular dog.
