This precious girl is called Sunshine for all the obvious reasons. She has a wonderful smile and a beautiful spirit of joy and determination to overcome all the obstacles in life. This Golden Retriever mix is about 2 years old and was rescued from being euthanized at the vet’s office. She weighs only 60 pounds and is just a love. Sometime earlier in life, Sunshine was hit by a car and her hip was not fixed properly. She developed a condition in which the head of her femur died and needed to be removed. She was abandoned recently, but found by some kind people and they contacted Critter Cavalry. The wonderful vet that works with CCR offered to help with the surgery on her leg at a reduced fee so that the rescue could afford to take her in. She has been through rehab and is just an amazing, sweet girl. She is very well behaved in the house, walks like a Princess on a leash and of course, like most Goldens, she loves children and also cats! Dogs are fine with her unless they bark and growl, then she gets a little scared. If you sit down on the floor with her, she loves to give you a hug!
