Alexis's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Alexis's Story...
Alexis was born in a high kill shelter in east Tennessee in Feb, 2013. Her mom is a purebred plott hound and we believe her dad was a lab. She was adopted by a couple and was returned to the kill shelter when they decided they didn't have time for her . She is currently in foster care in east TN and is waiting patiently for a FOREVER home. Her foster parents say she is a terrific dog! She is housebroken, crate trained and very affectionate. She loves to play and adores a tennis ball. She loves the two children in the home. Alexis has more of a lab coat with the cutest freckles on her front legs.

Alexis is spayed and UTD on shots.

If you can give this sweetie the home she deserves and longs for, please contact deaddogswalkingtn@me.com. An application can be found on our main website deaddogswalkingtn.com under "dog adoption". She will be transported to New England upon adoption via Alpha Dog Transport. They charge $125 for their services which is paid when you claim you dog. All vet records are also handed off at that time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alexis, a Providence Plott Hound/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Plott Hound/Labrador Retriever for sale in Providence, or seeking a Plott Hound/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Providence.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Providence already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Providence breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Plott Hound/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Plott Hound/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Providence paves the way for another one to be saved.
