My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Update 3/9/2016: Josh remains shy and timid around humans. Can be nippy with other dogs, so perhaps being an only dog would make him happier. Josh is now 8 yrs old and weighs about 30 lbs. Josh continues to avoid human contact but will stay close by his person. Just don’t try to pick him up and he is pretty content. Josh needs a family who will not have any expectations for him, just keep him safe, warm and a full tummy. He will reward you with his quiet presence.

Original Listing: Josh was recently released from a commercial breeding facility, Josh is a light apricot poodle whose age was given as 7 yrs . He currently weighs approx 12lbs. Josh is a work in progress. Not house trained and loves to mark. Josh has some aggression issues where he postures like he is going to charge and bite. He does this with humans as well as the other dogs in the house. He has never bitten me, but I am careful not to challenge him when he is in this frame of mind. Josh will approach for pets and ear scratching, but only on his terms. Josh is ready for adoption to a home with no children and needs to be the only dog. He requires a lot of patience and no immediate expectations. Josh has come a long way since his release in August of 2013, but has a long way to go. A fenced yard will be a must.
