There's no question that Patrick is one of the nicest boys ever abandoned. He was at a high-kill shelter in Arkansas but when his time was up, the staff couldn't bear to see that be his last day so a volunteer spared his life and brought him to the safety of a low-kill shelter where he's getting more time to find his second chance. Now Pat has faith that someone out there will think he's the perfect age: past the crazy-stage and smart enough to listen! He is a true gentleman -- well-mannered to all the volunteers at the shelter, and thoroughly respectful to all of his fellow canine sheltermates. He's affectionate, calm and gifted with the knack of knowing just how to make someone feel special -- possibly a natural-born therapy dog! He walks well on the leash, he keeps his kennel very clean and he takes treats so gently. With his focus, gentleness, and willingness to please he will make an excellent companion for anyone. Patrick is about 1 - 2 years old, healthy and weighs about 20 - 25 pounds - - on the small side of medium.
