My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little girl with lots to give!

My name is Kirra and I'€™m a lovable mix! I came to Forever Friends Great Dane Rescue from a shelter that thought I would do better in a rescue. Everyone thought I was a small Great Dane mix and about 6 months old. Guess I had them fooled! The vet said I’m closer to 12-18 months old and I might not have any Great Dane in me. You see, I only weigh 50 pounds and probably won'€™t get much bigger. I'€™m going to be a medium sized girl and may not have any "true" Great Dane traits but I have got lots of love to give!

My age does not tell much about my personality! I'€™m more of a puppy than you would think! Unfortunately, I was never taught any manners so my foster momma is working on me with those. I'€™m getting the hang of it but sometimes my puppy playfulness takes over and I forget my commands! I'€™m working on sit right now and I know what it means but I'€™m not perfect at it. I do know shake and think that is fun to do! I have been taught that dumb word "€œNO" too. I don't like to hear that one but I know it means I’m not following the house rules so I stop whatever I'€™m doing. I'€™m getting a lot better at being in a crate when my foster momma has to leave. I get a cookie when I go in and I might bark a little but then I settle down knowing she is coming back for me!

I have small and large furry foster friends. I LOVE my small four legged friend and we play and hang out all the time. I'€™m kind of intimidated by my large four legged friend but over time I will learn big furry friends are fun too! Everything is new to me so I need time to adjust!

My foster momma says I'm one of the most loving, cuddly and affectionate dogs ever! I'm so glad she thinks that way because I definitely prefer humans over furry friends. Even though I'm full of energy and like to play, I also like to give kisses and curl up in my cozy dog bed. I LOVE to be outside and lay in the grass on a sunny day. I love those sunbeams beating on me! One of my other favorite things is to lay in front of the door and watch everything going on outside...it is so entertaining!

Because I'm still young and never had training, I need someone to continue to work with me on my manners. I want to please you but you have to show me what you want me to do. Please take the time to work with me if you are going to adopt me. Also, remember that I might not be as big as a Great Dane but I promise to love you just as much as I would if I weighed 125 pounds! If you would like to bring me home, please fill out an application at www.foreverfriendsgdri.com.

I'm waiting for you!

Kirra
