Denali's Story...
Denali is one busy girl, and is always up for playing with her siblings or any toy she can get a hold of. She learns quickly and doesn’t seem afraid of much. She is working on her potty training and has mastered the puppy door. She will be a great companion for someone that likes doing outdoor activities.

The first step in applying for one of our pets is to fill out an application. This in no way obligates you to adopt. It helps our foster parents learn more about you, which helps them determine if the pet would be a good fit for your situation. Please log on to our website at www.bbcra.org then click on the button on the left-hand side that says Apply to Adopt.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Denali, a Pittsboro/Durham Boxer/Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Australian Shepherd for sale in Pittsboro/Durham, or seeking a Boxer/Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Pittsboro/Durham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pittsboro/Durham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pittsboro/Durham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Boxer/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pittsboro/Durham paves the way for another one to be saved.
