Lovely Lenny's Story...
Hi my name is Lovely Lenny and I am looking for a loving, furever home. I was rescued from a very unsafe beach for dogs in Puerto Rico. I would love to become a part of an active family who would include me in some or all of their adventures :)). I throw my toy up in the air and catch it. I would do great with agility and playing frisbee. I have a lot of love to give my new family. I am about 2 years old, 25 lbs, fully vetted, vaccinated and microchipped. I am in Dedham Mass. If you would like to meet me please email meryl@thesatoproject.com. Get your adoption applications in so you can come to our meet and greets every Saturday from 9 - 3 or Sundays 10 - 1. You can also meet Lenny Monday through Fridays by appointment. Can't wait to meet you. Love and Kisses, Lenny.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lovely Lenny, a Brooklyn Border Collie/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Border Collie/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Border Collie/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
