Parson-JRT/Chihuahua male, 3-4 yr. old (Oct. 2013)
Parson's plight was heard by a Rescue Volunteer recently (Oct. 2013). Another Rescuer was at a high kill shelter and saw him. She heard that the next day was going to be Parson's last one, he was going to be euthanized if not rescued. They called us right away and we said yes, get the sweet guy out! He's living in a foster home, settling in and finding his way to adjust to all the changes. We think he's about 3-4 yr. old. He's crate trained and working on housetraining. Parson's adoption fee is $275 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption.

Rescue BC is a multi-faceted, foster-based rescue. We only take animals on euthanasia lists. We vet them, get them healthy enough for adoption, alter them and place them in loving, forever homes. Every animal we rescue is vetted and tested according to veterinary standards, vaccinated, wormed, treated for parasites, altered and then placed for adoption. We rescue from rural Kentucky shelters because those animals have no other chance of rescue. All county shelters in Kentucky euthanize for space, and many have kill rates over 90%. We have saved many animals from "death row" through the extensive foster and social networking-based work that we do. If you would be interested in fostering for us please email email@example.com.
Come Meet Our Pets...
Petco 12960 Middlebrook Road #520A Germantown, MD 20874 301-515-8153 Every other Saturday 4:00 - 8:00
Approved adopters will be reserved time to meet with a pet. Our volunteers will introduce you to the pets so you can spend time with a pet. Please clean up after the pet you are visiting, and keep the pet under control at all times. Puppies and cats should NOT be placed on the ground. If you do not have an approved application, visiting hours are after 6:30 PM.
Our Adoption Process...
The first step in the adoption process is to request an application from firstname.lastname@example.org. Please allow 1-2 days to receive the application. Please be patient as we are 100% volunteer supported. We will need several days to make the calls on your application. The current pets in the home must be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines and annual exams, and currently on heartworm preventative for dogs. You must be 21 years of age and gainfully employed. Once you are approved, a volunteer will contact you and invite you to a Meet and Greet to visit with a pet. All our pets are fostered in private homes and only come to the event when they have a potential adopter. Plan to spend 1-2 hours at the Meet and Greet. It takes time to unload our pets and give them an opportunity to relieve themselves. You will have time to visit with your pet to decide if this is the right pet for your family. You will be required to sign a legal contract and we will go over the medical records with you. You will be required to take your new pet to the vet within 7 days of adopting. We charge an adoption fee for all of our animals. This fee varies depending on the vetting requirements of that particular animal. The adoption fee is cash only. If you have any questions, please email email@example.com.
