Max is an adorable little boy who is a Havanese mix. He weighs 15 pounds and is a year old. What a happy boy this little guy is! He is learning good manners around people and dogs since he didn't get much training at his former place of residence. He loves playing with other dogs. He's crate trained and will be working on house-training at his foster home. Speaking of training, it's been in short supply in Max' little life, so training classes would be highly recommended. Because he's so young, he has a lot of pent-up energy to get rid of -- but what a playful little companion!

To meet this cute bundle (pictures will be coming soon!), contact his foster mom, Eileen:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Vista Havanese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Havanese for sale in Vista, or seeking a Havanese dog from a breeder in Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Havanese breeders who help with Havanese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
