My name is Spud and I am a healthy, very energetic 3 year old female Miniature Dachshund/Schnauzer Mix. I weigh about 12-13 lbs and my coat is a wiry black. I’m spayed, up to date on vaccines and am micro chipped. I like to be held or cuddle into your back, but I’m always ready for a walk. On the walk, I get very excited and will pull, and sometimes I forget why I’m there, but I need to be walked to use up some of my energy! I am housetrained for the most part, but I still need a little mistake-prevention. Mostly, I’m quiet in the home, but I will bark if someone comes to the door or if I can see someone pass on the street. I’m crate trained and will sleep in my crate or on the big bed, if invited. I travel well in the car and am generally fine with people, although I may be timid with strangers. I get along with my foster brothers (I previously lived with a cat), but bark at animals that I don’t know. I’m looking for an active and patient owner who will continue with my training, and in return I know I’ll make that person a loving companion.
