Sienna's Story...
Sienna is a 3 year old female who is a bit chubby at 35 pounds. She is an active dog who likes to play ball. She can be in a crate or left loose in the house when her humans are gone. She doesn't bark unless she is super excited or someone comes to the door. She has lived with older people and a cat. Sienna gets along with most dogs. She doesn't jump up on the furniture and likes to go in the car. She likes baths and does great at the groomers. Sienna knows sit, stay, come, no, down, stop, leave it, all done, lay down and take a break.

At this time we do not believe Sienna would be well suited for a home with young children. Sienna would be a great pet for empty nester, active senior or a family with older kids.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sienna, a Minneapolis Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
