My name is Charlotte!

Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier Dog for adoption in Tallahassee, Florida - Charlotte

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Charlotte's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Charlotte's Story...
INITIAL BIO 10/20/2013: Charlotte is a sweet 14 year old 12 lb (a little chubby) yorkie mix who was dumped by her owners at a high kill shelter. She lasted SEVENTEEN days in a cold steel cage where she was let out twice a day to be tied to the wall so they could hose down her cage. She was passed up for adoption because she has kennel cough..... Really.... Kennel cough. Finally, UYR rescued her.

Charlotte is 100% housetrained and likes people. She loves to cuddle and give kisses (though her teeth could use a good cleaning!). She has dry eye in her right eye and needs ointment. She is now receiving high quality food and feeling better and better every day. Charlotte is an older gal and is asking for some donations so UYR can help older gals like her whose medical bills will far outweigh her adoption donation. Thanks for looking!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlotte, a Tallahassee Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Tallahassee, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Tallahassee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tallahassee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tallahassee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tallahassee paves the way for another one to be saved.
