My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Latte is such a beautiful young girl and a great combination of breeds too - Chocolate Lab and German Shepherd.

Latte was literally dumped as a very young pup at a veterinarian's office with her litter mate along with a note stating they needed homes. The vet took one and the vet tech took the other (Latte). Though the vet tech loves her dearly she simply didn't have the time to devote to this energetic and very intelligent girl, and so she came to us.

Latte is only around 10 months old and still very much a puppy. She has the color, energy and heart of a Chocolate Lab but the coat and brains of a German Shepherd. She gets along great with large and small dogs alike and was even around cats and did will with them. She is house-trained and though not crate-trained when she came to us, she has adjusted quite well and sleeps through the night in one without complaint.
If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Latte, you can email us for the application at throwmeabonerescue@gmail.com OR go to our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - to complete and submit one found under "Resources."

All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live.

Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed, de-flea'd, is up to date on shots, is spayed/neutered, microchipped, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian.  In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a leash & collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
