My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Stanley - Stan the Man - Handsome Stanley.
Stanley is a 5 year old purebred boy who's has a heart of gold. Stanley gets along great with his foster siblings, male and female. He's a fairly mellow boy who loves attention from his people. Stanley is housetrained and knows how to sit, although that's hard for him, he wiggles and wiggles, he's so excited to be getting any kind of attention. Stanley also walk fairly well on leash - Good Boy Stanley!

Stanley loves to ride in the car, he lays right down and is soon fast asleep. Stanley recently spent the afternoon at work with his foster mom. The elevator was a scary adventure but once he was actually in the office he charmed everyone in sight, in between naps of course.

Stanley's needs some boundary training, he counter surfs a tad bit however that's an easy fix. He's such sweet tempered, handsome boy he can't be totally perfect.

Stanley has tested positive for heartworm. GRFR will be paying for heartworm treatment for Stanley. Once treated he'll need 30 days of restricted activity, no running, wrestling etc..., short leash walks only. He'll need a follow up HW test in 6 months which GRFR will pay for. Heartworm is preventable and treatable so no need to worry - Stanley will be just fine.

=MEDICAL HOLD=
Stanley will be on medical hold until mid December while he recuperates from his heartworm treatment and has follow up xrays done. His chest xray did show a granuloma in his left lung. This most likely is due to the heartworm and will disappear once he's received heartworm treatment. There is still a possibility that it could be cancer. Stanley will have a follow up xray in mid December to determine what the granuloma is caused by.
