My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Peter: 1 yr old male Seal Lynx Point Blue Eyed Snow Bengal
Pongo: 1 yr old male Seal Lynx Point Blue-Eyed Snow Bengal
Fostered in Santa Cruz

Peter is all about cuddling. He will so sweetly climb on your shoulder and rest his head on your neck or cuddle you under your chin.He so much wants human attention. Peter is a beautiful sweet boy. He is happy with other cats as long as they are not dominant alpha males. He is not an alpha cat and has been a bit tyrannized by cats that are. After he got a scratch on his forehead we moved him so he could be in a room by himself and he is comfortable there. We
will probably put his brother in with him and see how they do . His brother is another very affectionate snow bengal boy. They would make an extraordinary pair.

Peter's markings are just darkening from beige to this richer brown. They seem to change daily. His fur is the short silky fur that bengals are known for. Don't let these lazy photos fool you Peter is all athletic coiled energy except when he is getting pets from humans. He loves to run, play, climb, jump, eat feathers, crash into things -- you name it: if it involves moving he is all for it. Food gets his immediate attention, also.

Peter would be better with Pongo, another gentle, active, easy-going cat for play and working off some of the Bengal extra energy. I don't know how he does with dogs, but I would expect him to be fine. He is also probably good with older, respectful children.

AND Pongo: 1 yr old male Seal Lynx Point Blue Eyed Snow Bengal

Well I could have named this boy Romeo; he is such a big lover. This is a very sweet cat and he wants cuddle with humans all the time. He and Peter share a room together and it is hard to tell which of the two is more affectionate. They alternate. It would be great for them to go to a home together where there are at least two humans to give them lots of love. In this group of rescued bengals these two are not the alpha cats and we had to separate them because they were
getting pushed around a bit by those who were. Pongo got his eyelid scratched and Peter was scratched in the skin above his eye.

They make a beautiful pair and I would like them to go home together. They do well with each other except when dinner is served-- then you can see the fear they have of there not being enough. (Yes, we have dry food out all day.) In their previous life there was too little food of any kind given and the cats competed for it and the alpha cats won. These two just need to be fed their wet food 6 feet apart and given plenty of food so they can learn to let their past history with food be forgotten. They are not skinny anymore.

So here's beautiful Pongo. I will get better photos of him showing his blue eyes open. He is lighter than Peter and does not have the marble markings showing. He is more a true lynx point. This boy would probably be good with children four foot high and up. I don't know about dogs.

Pongo may look like a cuddly little baby but you can be sure he has buns of steel and is a natural athlete.I need to get you a better range of photos showing his prowess.

Peter and Pongo are more of the group of Peninsula breeder bengals we have rescued.

They eat wet and dry food and are litterbox perfect.

His foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.
