Dina's Story...
Dina is a silky, soft, gorgeous young dilute calico rescued from the local overcrowded animal shelter where she was a frail stray nursing 3 kittens. The kittens were adopted and Dina went to her loving foster home where she has been the last few months. She has received the necessary vet care, gained weight and looks wonderful. Dina is a sit-beside-you cat, not an in-your-lap cat. She waits for her foster mama in bed each night and cuddles close. Dina is quiet but a great hunter if a fly gets in the house, and will always accompany you to the kitchen just in case you might possibly plan to feed her! She is not picky about food, not at all. She gets along well with other kitties. Her foster siblings are older and not interested in playing. Dina would love a similar aged playmate. Dina has been spayed, vaccinations are up-to-date, and has combo tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV. .

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dina, a Mebane Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Mebane, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Mebane.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mebane already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mebane breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mebane paves the way for another one to be saved.
