HANNAH, 3-YEAR-OLD, BOXER/HOUND MIX, FEMALE:
Sweet Hannah was dumped outside the gates of Animal Control with her two puppies, Hank and Harry, when the shelter wasn't even open. A local rescuer found the family and they have been together in foster care since August. Hannah is done with this motherhood job, and is quite ready for her own human family! She loves to play with frisbees, run through the backyard, and play! At around 30 pounds, she's an easy size dog to handle and won't take up much room in your car as you take her for rides to fun places, like hikes and dog parks :) Hannah is spayed, housetrained, and up to date on all her vaccines (parvo, distemper, hepatitis and parainfluenza), kennel cough and rabies vaccination. She is heartworm negative, takes a monthly heartworm preventative and monthly flea preventative. We believe her birthday to be around 08/01/2010. If you are looking for a fun gal to keep you company, email today for an application!
Please, you MUST visit the following link BEFORE emailing for further information. If you'd like to find out more information about our adoption procedure or to apply for this dog visit http://www.poochesonthemove.net/dixie-pet-underground.html
Or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to request an adoption application, or visit our website at www.dixiepetunderground.org. â¨â¨Once we receive your complete application, an adoption counselor will call you within 48 hours of receipt of the application. During the adoption interview, the adoption counselor will tell you more about the puppy and our adoption processes, as well as answer any questions you have.
Dogs and puppies are up-to-date on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered, de-wormed, treated for fleas/ticks and heartworm negative before leaving rescue. You will receive complete medical records for your dog or puppy at the time of adoption.
The adoption fee is $450 and covers the cost of all veterinary care and transportation to your area.
Our dogs and puppies are delivered via a USDA-certified van transport and receive an Interstate Health Certificate -- issue by a licensed, accredited veterinarian -- no more than 10 days before the dog or puppy leaves rescue.
All of our dogs and puppies come into rescue from the 'death row' of animal shelters in the south, or are owner surrenders or strays who were 'pound bound' before coming into rescue. Adopting a dog or puppy from the Dixie Pet Underground Railroad means you are truly part of a partnership to save the life of the dog or puppy that you welcome into your family.
Our dogs and puppies are fostered at our rescue in Tennessee, meaning that it isn't possible to meet the dog or puppy before adoption. Our adoption counselor works with you to do everything possible to ensure that there is a good match between the family and the dog. We have had several hundred dogs adopted using this process and most of the time, it results in happy puppies and happy people.
If for any reason an adoption is not successful, the Dixie Pet Underground Railroad will work with the adopter to find the best possible solution for the dog and the adopting family.
We can provide contact information for adopters in your area who can tell you about their experience partnering with the Underground Railroad to save the life of a dog and make the animal a part of their family. â¨â¨We look forward to hearing from you and working with you to find the right dog for your family!
