Sebastian's Story...
Sebastian is a sweet, loving little gentleman. He family turned him into the high kill shelter Because they didn't have time for him, always working. He was dirty, had terrible fleas but seemed to just accept his fate. He never got the fearful look of a dog that was taken from a family he loved, he just looked accepting. It was so sad. He has now been neutered, HW tested negative, groomed and is up to date on all shots. Sebastian is completely housetrained and eager to please. He is good in the car, walks well on a leash and enjoys time in the back yard roaming around. This sweet boy is just an easy dog. If you would like to give Sebastian the home he truly deserves, please contact

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sebastian, a Harrisonburg Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
