This ‘lil punkin is Porter, and he is ready to be your sweet treat for the Holidays! Porter is approximately 5 months old, 30(+)lbs, neutered, current on all puppy shots, on heartworm and flea preventative, and micro-chipped. He is learning to walk on a leash, and has learned some basic commands. With his alert, inquisitive nature, he will excel at obedience training! Porter is doing very well with house training, and will go to the door and sit (sometimes whine) when he needs out. He is crated when sleeping (although enjoys to snuggle up in bed with those warm humans first!), and when the people leave the house.
This guy is full of personality, puppy antics and adventure; but when the day is over, he wants to curl up and cuddle next to you while you catch up on your favorite show! He currently lives with 2 fur-foster-sisters – a 2 year old lab mix and an 11 year old lab. He has found the difference between the 2; the older gal is the one he looks to for gentle guidance, while the younger is hisrough and tumble playmate. We regularly find him snuggled up with one of them during naps!
Porter has not had direct contact with cats, but did meet one through a gate, and while had a little puppy apprehensiveness, he did not try to give chase or lunge. He can be direct cat tested if needed. He also has not been in direct contact with children, however, does see children playing next door, and always perks up when he hears them. He can be child tested for almost any age on request, but we have no doubt he will be a great playmate!
Porter is a smart boy suitable for an active family looking for an outgoing and friendly puppy to settle in your warm home for the Holidays!
