Mikey's Story...
Mikey is the sweetest and very shy little dog that was rescued from a local high kill shelter, he is a schnauzer mix of approx one year and 10 lbs, he loves to be held and has the nicest personality, he is a little timid and shy but warms up quickly when he knows he is in a safe place and loved..he is quiet and well behaved, seems to be fairly well house trained but not perfect and is just the most adorable little dog that gets along with the other rescues, but is scared of big and noisy dogs and will run and hide from them, he likes a quieter household

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mikey, a Norwalk Schnauzer (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in Norwalk, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Norwalk.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Norwalk already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Norwalk breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Norwalk paves the way for another one to be saved.
