Charlie's Story...
Charlie is my nickname, but everyone call me Charles. As in Charles in Charge, because I like to show everybody who’s boss. No not in aggro way… In a “hey you should just do what I say way, cuz it’s the best for everybody” way. I have a voice and like to speak my mind, I mean this is a free country right? I should have been born a Heeler, they get to direct everybody around and no one bats an eye. But then I try to say my piece and everyone is up in arms. I think I am profiled cuz I am a Rottie, I mean, I don’t know what else it could be. I get along with all the other dogs here fine. Like I said I am not super dominating, I just like to be heard. I could live with a cat but I would chase them if afforded the opportunity. I don’t care who you are, that is just fun! Kids 10+ would be great in my home, cuz at 97 pounds I can topple little ones like dominos. My crate training is coming along nicely and with a standard routine I feel all training could be a snap. So you have seen the rest, now come see how the big dogs roll! 7 years old-97lbs. My adoption fee is $120 and includes; neuter, microchip, reduced cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Portland Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Portland, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
