My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Good With Kids: Older kids would be best
Good With Other Dogs: Yes
Good With Cats: Unknown
Housetrained: Yes
Crate Trained: Yes
Walks Nicely On A Leash: Pretty good
Knows Basic Commands: Some
Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): Moderate
Special Needs: None

Arrival story: I spent time at the River Rouge Shelter where everyone was nice to me but its crowded there so I was moved to Waggin’ Tails.

Approximate age / Weight: 2 years old and 42 lbs.

Personality: I am a good girl who plays well with the resident dog in my foster home. I can be a little shy when meeting new people but once I am comfortable, I love giving kisses. My big brown eyes steal the hearts of everyone I meet.

I am crate trained and have very respectful house manners. I know some basic commands and am eager to please and I would love to attend a training class! I like going outside for long walks or for rides in the car. Sometimes I even tag along with my foster dad on runs! I am affectionate and enjoy being with people.

Forever home: I would do well in many situations but would do best in a home without small children since I can be jumpy at times. I can’t wait to have my own yard for playtime with my new family!

Pre-Adoption Application: To be considered for a dog, it is best to submit a pre-adoption application. The Pre-Adoption Application can be downloaded from our website - Adoption Process Just complete the application and email it back to wtdr2008@yahoo.com
Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $225 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies - $125 for senior dogs, $275 for small breed dogs and $250 for puppies, plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.
We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the dates of our next adoption events. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar for the latest information. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).
Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.
Thank you for your support of rescue and your interest in a rescue dog!
