Sasha -Pending's Story...
Good With Kids: Older kids would be best
Good With Other Dogs: Yes
Good With Cats: Unknown
Housetrained: Yes
Crate Trained: Yes
Walks Nicely On A Leash: Pretty good
Knows Basic Commands: Some
Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): Moderate
Special Needs: None

Arrival story: I spent time at the River Rouge Shelter where everyone was nice to me but its crowded there so I was moved to Waggin’ Tails.

Approximate age / Weight: 2 years old and 42 lbs.

Personality: I am a good girl who plays well with the resident dog in my foster home. I can be a little shy when meeting new people but once I am comfortable, I love giving kisses. My big brown eyes steal the hearts of everyone I meet.

I am crate trained and have very respectful house manners. I know some basic commands and am eager to please and I would love to attend a training class! I like going outside for long walks or for rides in the car. Sometimes I even tag along with my foster dad on runs! I am affectionate and enjoy being with people.

Forever home: I would do well in many situations but would do best in a home without small children since I can be jumpy at times. I can’t wait to have my own yard for playtime with my new family!

Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).
Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sasha -Pending, a Northville Retriever (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Northville, or seeking a Retriever (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Northville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Northville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Northville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Northville paves the way for another one to be saved.
