Hudson's Story...
Hudson didn't really mean to stick his tongue out in this photos but he was in prison so who can blame him! He has moved to Oregon to start a new life. What a total love bug! He is probably purebred shih Tzu so hypo allergenic. We think he is about 3 years old. He likes other dogs and LOVES people. Just a cute fluffy guy that will make your days happier. All of our dogs have been spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, had rabies, bordatella and distemper/lepto/parvo vaccines as well as been de-wormed and had flea medication applied. They come with a free vet check at Mt. Tabor Vet Care. We offer a 10% discount for seniors, veterans and students. We accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover. We don't adopt our small dogs out to families with children under 6 years of age. All of our dogs are in foster homes. We have an adoption application and check references. Pound to Posh is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving dogs from high kill shelters.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hudson, a Portland Shih Tzu/Havanese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Havanese for sale in Portland, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Havanese dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Havanese breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Havanese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
