Tex's Story...
Tex is a little Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/Chihuahua mix puppy that came from a Texas kill shelter and flew in the cabin and was so perfect on the flight to Washington. He loves meeting people. He is about 3 months old and 8 pounds with medium to low activity level. He loves to take off with slippers and laundry but a quick no and he lets go. Tex loves toys and lap time and when its bedtime is so loves to sleep close. He is learning the potty outside every time and if you have chicken he can do the doggy door no problem. He wakes his foster mom up with a cry whimper sound when he needs to potty. He has been able to share food with other dogs and take treats nicely. He is crate trained, walks on a leash, understands no, and able to learn quickly if chicken treats are involved. Tex gets along well with other dogs and is fine with children. He would love to find a family of his very own! The adoption fee for Tex is $200. To apply to adopt or for more information please email

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tex, a Auburn Chihuahua/Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Cavalier King Charles Spaniel for sale in Auburn, or seeking a Chihuahua/Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy from a breeder in Auburn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Auburn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Auburn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breeders who help with Chihuahua/Cavalier King Charles Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Auburn paves the way for another one to be saved.
