Gretchen - 8 year old female purebred Miniature Schnauzer. We were contacted by an inland shelter to rescue Gretchen. The shelter had her marked as rescue only because they didn’t feel they could place her because of her age. Poor Gretchen has been through a few homes… her elderly owner died about a year ago and a family member took her in. The family member kept her for a year and then could no longer keep her so took her to the shelter. When we got her, her toe nails were so outgrown that they were curled and deformed. We groomed her , had our vet do a dental on her (she lost 2 teeth) and also had blood work done (which turned out normal). Gretchen is a well socialized girl who loves people and is great other dogs. She’s a happy little girl who has many years of love left to give and would make a great companion for anyone. Gretchen is on phenylpropanolami for leaky bladder and amitriptyline for thicken bladder, they are inexpensive medication and she does well on them. She’s currently is a little over weight at 24 pounds and could lose few pounds to get her girlish figure back.
