My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Check out the most recent news on Sophie!

She is a very sweet and smart girl. She loves to go for walks and play with her foster brothers.

She has a lot of energy and is very playful, but also likes to chill. She weighed in the other day and is down to 65lbs. She is large for a BC and very strong.

She is smart and learns things quickly. Sit, shake, down and wait were easy for her. She now sits and waits for me to get the food ready, all three dishes down, and an "ok" from me before she starts eating. She acts like this is the hardest thing in the world to do. It's quite funny, she wiggles and whimpers, and there's the occasional bark. She gets scolded for the bark.

We are working on the barking issue. She likes to bark when she gets excited, especially in the car. I now start talking to her in a quiet voice when I can hear that she is getting worked up. This has helped a lot, but she has some impulse control issues. She can't get out of the car and go for her walk until she is quiet.

She would do best in a home that will make her behave, and not spoil her too much. If you give her an inch, she will expect 10 the next time. She is house and crate trained, and likes to go in her crate. I haven't closed the door to the crate the last few weeks. She is not a counter surfer. I went to work the other day and forgot to put some food away. It was still there when I got home.

She's very affectionate, and sweet. She loves to be petted and especially loves to get noogies on top of her head.

Sohie is being fostered in Kentucky
