My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone!

Are you looking for a LOVE bug? Well, you have found one, me Luigi. And when you hear my story you might be a little surprised at how much I love to cuddle.

I lived my whole life chained to a dog house. I belonged to a hunter. When he no longer needed me for hunting, I was taken in by Midwest BREW and am now living the good life, including lying on the couch and getting petted all the time. At first I wouldn't jump up on the furniture and now I love to lay up on the couch. It didn't take me long to get the hang of the comfortable couch. At nightime while my foster parents watch television, all of us dogs claim our spot on the couch and loveseat. Luckily there is enough room for foster mom and dad.

So you think I would not be house trained since I spent my entire life outside and I was not neutered coming into the foster home...but surprise, I am house trained. I have been in my foster home over two weeks and have had only one accident and I blame my foster mom for not seeing me pacing. At least I peed in foster mom's bathroom!

When no one is home I am crated with a Kong filled with good treats so I don't mind my crate at all. When I am in the house, I am pretty quiet.

Outside though, one thing that makes me do my beagle bay is those pesky squirrels or when I play with the beagle boy that lives in the foster house. We run and chase each other and bark and bark. I now have a fenced-in-yard and get to run around all the time. And foster mom says I run like a wild man.

In the foster home I have learned what toys are. I like to bury them in the dog beds and crates. I put imaginary dirt on top of them so the other dogs in the foster home can't find them. Sometimes they squeak and I get a little startled and I will bark at them. I don't understand them or the noise they make.

At bedtime I am crated for right now. The reason is that I don't know what to do in a dog bed. I would gladly sleep on my foster parents’ bed but that is not allowed -they tell me- because they have way too many dogs so for now I sleep in the big crate.

So, have you been looking for a tall & handsome Italian your whole life? Then contact Midwest BREW about me.
