My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gidget found her way to our facility with two other dogs. We searched for her family with no success and have since absorbed her into our rescue program. She is super sweet, crate trained, about 2 years old, and is the cutest little gal ever. She is tiny (about 35lbs) but full of personality!

Gidget is a very happy girl, she loves to run and would be a great companion for an active family.

Because we are primarily a boarding facility, it is difficult to assess her house-training status. She has gone home with an employee several times and has had no accidents while at the house.

UPDATE 1/7/14: Gidget is a very sweet girl - and we think she may be even younger than the 2 years we thought at first! Now that she has gotten to know our staff, she is warming up a great deal and is very cuddly, playful, and extremely responsive to people. She loves getting human attention, as well as romping with other high energy dogs. We have however found that Gidget is an escape artist: she can break out of crates (both plastic and wire) if left alone for extended periods of time and can easily jump a 4 foot fence, so a potential owner should be aware of these issues and would ideally have a tall stockade fence, or walk her on leash.

UPDATE 12/6/14: Gidget was in a temporary foster home over Thanksgiving with four other dogs in the house and she did great! She had no problem being crated overnight (but would much rather be cuddled in bed with you!) and followed her foster mom around the house. Such a sweet-heart! She also learned about the joys of squeaky toys and chewie treats.
