Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Ditch. Ditch is a Coble tornado survivor. He will be 2 in October, weighs about 40 lbs and is a chow mix. Originally found in a ditch by a railroad track in Georgia, Ditch came to live in Coble TN. He was much loved by his owners but when the tornado arrived in Coble, his pen blew away. There was no sign of Ditch. Ten days later, he found his way back home. He was featured in the Hickman County times (we have a copy of the paper). In the mean time, his owner lost her house and found new lodgings that did not allow dogs. Ditch was surrendered to HHS. This is what his foster thinks of Ditch:
He is an amazing loving dog. Since I've had him I've noticed all he wants is to be a lap dog. He needs his one special person or just to be a loved family dog. He's great with people including kids. He finally opened up to my dogs and they are constantly playing and running through the house! He loves playing tug-a-war with either the dogs, my boyfriend or myself. He plays fetch and gets along great with cats and my horses. Ditch loves to go for runs and long walks. Swimming he LOVES it! Ditch would rather be an inside dog than an outside dog. He lives inside my house but goes out for an hour every so often to do his business and he seems to enjoy it. He is house-trained as long as you let him out properly. He is not crate trained. Ditch is very well mannered inside and outside. When we all leave the house I can trust him to roam the house and not get into anything. He comes when called when off the leash and is a big treat hog!!! Ditch is really a great dog and he'd make a family very happy!
