Ickle Me's Story...
Meet "Ickle Me" ("Ickle" for short)! This adorable 5 month old boy is a white and silver tabby, with the most stunning GREEN eyes! Ickle and his brothers were rescued from Florida, and are now looking to start a new life in the great city of New York. All three kittens have such sweet and playful personalities, however they can be a little shy at first. They look forward to overcoming their shyness by being loved and spoiled by you! For a family looking to adopt more than one kitten, Ickle's siblings are also available (click the 'Other Pets at Shelter' Link to view "Pickle Me," and "Tickle Me Too"). Ickle has been neutered, updated on vaccines, and tested negative for FIV and Felv. He is litter pan trained, and should remain an INDOOR ONLY pet. Ickle will go home with 1 year FREE veterinary care provided at our veterinary office. If you are interested in adopting Ickle please email vetrescuegroup@hotmail.com. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ickle Me, a Elmhurst Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Elmhurst, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Elmhurst.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmhurst already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmhurst breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmhurst paves the way for another one to be saved.
