Prada's Story...
THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING. ADR is not responsible for the health, temperament, behavior or placement of this cat. Listings are done at the request of the cat's foster, and as an outreach and community service in hopes of finding this cat a loving, stable forever home. Placement decisions are made solely at the discretion of the owner and not Austin Dog Rescue. Owners are required to ask for an adoption fee from adopters.

Prada is a 2-5 year old female tortoiseshell cat rescued from an ill elderly woman. She is very sweet and likes to play, although she is shy and doesn't do well around dogs. She is very quiet and not too rambunctious. She would be perfect as a quiet companion in a smaller home and cannot wait to meet you! She has been fixed, has all her shots, and no other health issues.

We'd love to find a good home for this sweet girl as soon as we can! She's in Round Rock right now, and interested parties can email Tori Wheelis at: for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Prada, a Austin Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Austin, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
