My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

THIS NARRATIVE COURTESY OF THE PEOPLE WHO LOVE BUGSY.
Bugsy is a ~6 year old male Bluetick Beagle who is being rehomed because he finds the 2-yr-old twins alarming. He is housetrained, loves a good walk, and knows exactly what to do with a Nylabone. We took Bugs in over 4 years ago when he showed up on our front porch with heartworms, tick disease, and malnourishment. As he recovered, he stole our hearts and became great pals with our lab. We've since had twin girls and learned that Bugsy is not compatible with children. His survival spirit from his days on the run tells him the noise and excitement in our home is too much. He tends to snap when he's surprised or woken from sleep. However, he loves to snuggle and would be a perfect fit for a family without children, but possibly other dogs. Bugsy is the alpha in our home, and I expect he would want to be the same in yours. Bugsy is neutered, up-to-date on his shots, free of heartworms, and receives his monthly flea/tick treatment and preventative heartworm medications. He has a mild diagnosis of epilepsy which causes him to have seizures. He is not on any medication because he only has about 5 seizures per year. Bugsy once was kennel trained but we haven't used a kennel in a couple of years. This is a courtesy posting. This dog is not affiliated with P.S. I Love You! Animal Rescue but is fostered by another party. For more information, please contact Janel Miller at dogrefuge@gmail.com.
