Astrid's Story...
Astrid is a fuzzy and absolutely adorable female kitten that found herself all alone in a busy shelter. At about 5 months of age she is looking for her furever home. Astrid came to LCPO immediatly after entering the shelter, she is in a foster home with 2 other kittens who she greatly enjoys the company of. Astrid is also great with children and people of any age, she does like to boss around the dogs in her foster home which is quite funny to see at her tiny size! Astrid is also very playful, she can amuse herself with her own tail even! She loves to roll around on her back, loves to hide and pounce without warning!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Astrid, a Hillsborough Domestic Mediumhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Hillsborough, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair kitten from a breeder in Hillsborough.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillsborough already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillsborough breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillsborough paves the way for another one to be saved.
