RILEY's Story...
Riley is a Chihuahua mix that came to EARS very frightened and fearful. He was a stray from a high kill shelter. All of our volunteers have taken time with him, just sitting and waiting for Riley to come to us. He has come a long way and is now friendly and likes people. He is beginning to walk well on a leash and we are all just so happy to see the changes in him. We estimate his age to be about one year.

Charlie says he just wants a home with his own people now. A family that would make him feel safe and secure and he could be your constant companion. If you are interested in meeting Riley, please go to www.earsrescue.org and complete the adoption application to begin the process. His adoption fee is $200.00 and he is worth every penny of it.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

RILEY, a Odessa Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Odessa, or seeking a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Odessa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Odessa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Odessa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Odessa paves the way for another one to be saved.
