Miya's Story...
NOTE: This is a courtesy posting for another rescuer. Please do not contact ARRF, as we do not know this dog personally. See contact information below.

Miya is a beautiful girl who is chocolate in color who is half Lab. She is 7 years old and weighs between 60 and 65 pounds, a very well-behaved girl who is gentle and affectionate. I have lost my job and my home, and I need to find someone who will take Miya and love her for the rest of her life, giving her the home she deserves.

Miya is current on shots and spayed. She is housetrained and is used to small dogs. She is initially intimidated by larger dogs, even though she is one. She would probably do best with another small dog or, perhaps, a mellow larger dog. She walks well on a leash.

Miya will come with lots of supplies -- a dog bed, which she loves, her brushes, collars, leashes, harness and other supplies so that she can get a good start in her new home.

To meet this wonderful girl, email: dalessandra@sbcglobal.net

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Miya, a Vista Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Vista, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
